“IST*PIDO, T*NGA, M*RON at TR*YDOR* This is what Raffy Tulfo described the lawmakers who opposed the 150-day extension of martial law in the whole island of Mindanao.
Tulfo, who monitored the joint session conducted by the 17th congress to discuss the extension of martial law noticed that most of the lawmakers who opposed the wish of the current administration only blamed the military for what happened in Marawi City.
Tulfo said in his Facebook post.
“Pero ni isa sa mga ISTUPIDONG ito wala man lang nagbuntong ng sisi sa Maute.” he added.
He also took a jab to one of the lawmakers who blamed the military for what happened to the Maranaos who evacuated to their homes because of the siege in Marawi.
He believed that the opposition favored the Maute Terrorist Group than the military who sacrificed their life to destroy the groups who wanted to spread chaos in the whole island of Mindanao.
Raffy Tulfo added.<
18 lawmakers stood up against the martial law extension in Mindanao, believing that the extension asked by the government might create some reason for the military to abuse their power.
One of the oppositors, Bayan Muna partylist Rep.
261 lawmakers voted yes for Martial law, while 18 voted no.
But despite of some lawmakers who opposed the martial law, the majority of the 17th congress still voted in favor of the extension asked by the government.
